Painting

I’ve never been much of a painter, but used to draw once upon a time. I loved it, and even did art as a subject in Junior high. I would have taken art as a senior but chose my other loves, Maths and Science, so art wasn’t an option in the class that offered them. Last week, as part of my effort to stay the melancholic grouchy mood I have been in lately due to my shoulder injury, I got myself a beginner’s acrylic painting kit. imageThis was my first attempt at the art, if you don’t count primary school, and if you look clearly, you can see a failed human and African hut somewhere in the painting:)

This second image is a picture of my second attempt at painting.1443959047645977707301and the inspiration is this beautiful picture of the front of our farm in Munsenga, a beautiful place on the outskirts of Chingola. 10499619_276485455889438_1664080079024498197_o

I’m by no means a Picasso, but, I’m proud of myself for the effort, despite my painting looking nothing like the picture. Painting is really hard though and I almost gave up, but if I keep at it, I might just paint something half decent.
